The primary function of gravity diverter valves (two-way or three-way chutes) is the reliable redirection of material flow toward one of 2 or 3 desired outlets, ensuring no loss in grain quality and maintaining a dust-tight seal.
Gravity transport diverters are used for handling granular and lumpy materials such as:
- Cereals and animal feed,
- Flour, sugar, and food powders,
- Pellets, biomass, etc.
They are most commonly installed in:
- Silos and storage systems,
- Pneumatic transport pipelines,
- Dosing, filling, and packaging line components,
- Mills, mixers, and production lines.
Specialized designs are utilized when transporting powdered products.
Standard material options include:
- General-purpose carbon steel S235JR,
- Galvanized steel S235JR+Z,
- Stainless steel X5CrNi18-10 (AISI 304).
The flap actuation can be electric (servo motor) or pneumatic (pneumatic cylinder). If compressed air is available, the pneumatic cylinder version is recommended.
As a standard, diverters come equipped with a pneumatic cylinder, though they can be supplied without one upon request.
Dimensions are customized to fit specific requirements.
